Itech is pleased to welcome Scott Christon to the team. He is joining us as manager of the operations side of Itech’s Emergency Response business in Brantford.

Scott earned the professional designation of Chemical Engineering Technologist from the Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists. He has 10 years of experience as an emergency response contractor and over 10 years of ER experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. Scott is qualified as an Advanced Tank Car Specialist and a Hazmat Technician. In addition to this Scott has received extensive training in emergency response for chemicals, including sulphur dioxide, ethylene oxide, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine, phosphorus (and phosphorus derivatives), sulphuric acid, and fuming acids.

Scott has responded to hundreds of hazardous material incidents bringing all of them to successful conclusions. He has also successfully taught all levels of hazardous materials response, confined space entry and rescue, and Canadian Regulations. Scott has been a featured speaker at the Toronto HAZMAT Conference and has taught a HAZMAT technician course at the University of Inje in Pusan, South Korea.
